Marie and Aries
Marie is a more recent addition to the community – but has made no less an impact with me as a result of the short time I’ve known her. Aries, a high-strung horse at times, took to her immediately and it is wonderful to see her work with him, both on the ground and in the saddle.
We are currently concentrating on Aries’ lateral and canter work. She is someone both Aries and I trust completely.
She rides Aries once or twice a week depending on her schedule of classes – though I do, on occasion, question the academic rigor of her Italian Cuisine and Culture class. Rumor has it that she is taking a yoga class next semester.

The Disconnected Horse
by Tim Lewthwaite
Do you have a horse that hangs on the bit and feels like he is pulling you around the ring?
Does he get strong when you canter? And do your shoulders or arms end up aching during and after a ride? You may even have considered getting a harsher bit to get the horse out of your hands.
